A while ago I got an email from Tony, who works with the ARX Publishing Company in New Jersey. He asked if he could send me the book Martha and Chip, which is about a friendly and intelligent rat who takes on an evil witch. I was excited about getting the book because I am always telling my mom how intelligent rats are, so of course I accepted. I loved it and have just finished the review (see Reviews and click on the book illustration for the first audio file I have added to the website). The author is only 19 years old! She loves rats and wrote and illustrated the book when she was 9 and then improved it over time as her writing talent developed. If you want to learn more about her, go to
